A deliverable is one specific piece of content you promise to make. "One Instagram Reel" is a deliverable. "Some posts" is not — it's a trap.
Why it matters: brands love vague words because vague means more. If the contract says "social coverage," they may expect a Reel, three Stories, a static post, and a TikTok — all for one price.
Simple example: you agreed to "a video" for $800. They ask for the YouTube cut, plus a Reel, plus Stories. That's three deliverables hiding inside one fuzzy word.
Your move: write each deliverable as a countable line — "1x 60-sec Reel, 3x Stories." If it's not on the list, it's a new conversation, not a freebie.
