Myth: you need a lawyer for every contract
The word "contract" sounds like it requires a lawyer and big fees. For everyday brand deals, a simple written agreement you understand is usually enough.
Why it matters: waiting for legal help on a $500 deal can cost more than the deal — and scares beginners out of any agreement at all.
Simple example: a one-page note covering deliverables, fee, payment date, and usage rights protects you fine for most small partnerships.
When to actually hire one: exclusivity over a year, fees above a few thousand, or anything you genuinely don't understand.
Your move: keep a simple reusable agreement template, and save the lawyer for the big, long, or confusing deals.
