SOP: Monthly Click-Quality Audit on Creator Traffic

Trigger: first business day of the month. Owner: analyst.

Step 1 — Pull per-creator click logs. Clicks, unique IPs, conversion rate, time-on-page if available.

Step 2 — Run the red-flag checks.
— Conversion rate near 0% on high clicks then investigate.
— Click-to-unique-IP ratio implausibly high then bot/proxy suspicion.
— Clicks clustered in seconds (burst) rather than spread then suspicious.
— Traffic geo doesn't match the creator's stated audience then mismatch.

Step 3 — Classify each creator. Clean / Watch / Hold-payment. Write the reason next to the label.

Step 4 — Act by label.
— Clean then pay as scheduled.
— Watch then pay, but add to next month's recheck.
— Hold then pause commission, request a call, ask them to explain the source.

Definition of done:
— Every active creator labeled
— No 'Hold' paid until resolved
— Findings logged so patterns surface across months

You can't dispute fraud you never measured.
