A link in your bio line vs. a link inside the quote

A link in your bio line vs. a link inside the quote

Getting quoted is step one. Getting a clickable link to your site is the real prize, and there are two common spots for it.

1. Bio-line link — "Jane Doe, founder of example.com." The link sits in how the reporter describes you. Most natural, most common.
2. Inline link — a link woven into a sentence of your quote, like a reference to a study you published. Rarer, but powerful, because it points to something useful, not just your homepage.

Think of it like a name tag vs. a business card. The name tag (bio) says who you are. The card (inline) gives them a reason to follow up.

The tradeoff: never demand a link. Instead, make one easy by signing with a clean title and, when relevant, mentioning one specific resource worth citing.

Try this today: write a one-line sign-off with your name, role, and site, ready to paste.
