"NVMe SSD" tells you almost nothing
Myth: "They use NVMe drives, so storage is blazing fast."
Fast hardware on an oversold node is shared 300 ways. Your I/O is capped by IOPS limits and burst credits you'll never see in the brochure. An NVMe array throttled to a trickle is slower than a quiet host on plain SSD.
The drive type is real. The allocation you actually get is the secret they keep.
Ask the question they hate: what's my guaranteed IOPS, and how many sites share this node?
Reality: hardware specs are the costume; the throttle config is the actor.
