"Unlimited" wins every comparison chart — by design, because it's unfalsifiable. Follow the money: it converts the anxious.
The real tradeoff:
— "Unlimited": governed by an Acceptable Use Policy with inode caps (often ~200k files) and "normal usage" clauses they define after you've crossed them.
— Metered (say 50GB clearly stated): you know the exact wall, and you'll likely never reach it.
A clear number is a contract. "Unlimited" is a vibe enforced at their discretion.
Which would you rather argue against support with — a number, or a marketing adjective?
Reality: a stated limit you can read beats an unlimited one you discover by getting suspended.
