Posting to a data-found peak hour raised reach 2.1x
A community team posted announcements whenever convenient. Average announcement reached 31% of members in 24h. We pulled message-volume-by-hour data, found the true peak (19:00-21:00 UTC for this audience), and posted only in that window. Reach climbed to 66%.
The scheduling SOP:
— ☐ Export 30 days of message timestamps, bucket by hour
— ☐ Identify the top 2-hour activity window
— ☐ Schedule all announcements inside it via bot
— ☐ Re-pull the data quarterly — peaks drift with audience geography
— ☐ One announcement per day max; batch the rest
The insight: timing is a free 2x. We changed zero content. Same message, right window, double the eyes. Most teams optimize copy and ignore the clock.
Save this for your next launch.
