Weekly office hours cut paid-community churn 27% to 11%
A $49/mo affiliate membership bled 27% monthly. Exit surveys said "I stopped getting value." We added one fixed ritual: 45-min live office hours, same slot weekly, recorded. Monthly churn fell to 11% over a quarter.
The office-hours SOP:
— ☐ Same day/time always (we used Wed 16:00 UTC, never moved)
— ☐ Members submit questions via a pinned form by Tue
— ☐ Host answers submitted questions first, live overflow second
— ☐ Recording + timestamped index posted within 2 hours
The retention driver wasn't attendance — only 18% attended live. It was the recording library. Members who watched any recording in a month churned at 6%. The ritual produced an asset that retained the no-shows.
Save this for your next launch.
