The incentivized traffic that beat "premium" on backend

The incentivized traffic that beat "premium" on backend
Myth: "Incentivized dating traffic is worthless — those users never rebill."

A classic. One operator tested an offer that allowed incent (rare, but it did) against the same offer on "clean" pop traffic, tracking 60-day rebill, not just front conversions.

Clean pop: $1.10 CPC equivalent, 2.2% reg, 6% of regs hit a paid rebill by day 60.
Incent: $0.30 effective, 7.8% reg, 1.9% rebill.

The chats would call incent a loss on that 1.9%. But run the full math: incent produced a paying customer for ~$210, clean pop for ~$295. The lower rebill rate was more than offset by 4x cheaper, 3.5x higher front-end conversion.

The lesson isn't "incent is great." It's that "quality" measured at the email-submit stage is a vanity metric. Only cost-per-rebilling-customer told the truth, and the despised source won it.

Reality: incent traffic isn't junk by nature — it's junk only if you stop measuring at the front end where it looks worst.
