"Native traffic is too clean for dating"

Myth: "Native platforms are content-discovery audiences — they won't bite on dating, stick to push and pop."

The chats file native under "safe verticals only" and write it off for dating. That's a creative failure dressed up as an audience truth. Native dies for dating when you bring push-style hooks — the in-your-face "3 girls near you" headline screams ad on a feed built for editorial curiosity, gets terrible CTR, and you conclude native "doesn't work." It worked fine; your angle didn't belong there.

Native dating wins with curiosity and story angles: "Why dating after 50 is easier than you think," "The town in [GEO] with too many single women" — content framing that earns the click, then qualifies on the lander. Slower, yes. But the audience skews older, higher-income, and far less ad-blind than recycled pop traffic, with CPMs you're not fighting twenty arbers for.

The filter isn't the source. It's whether your creative respects the placement.

Reality: Native isn't too clean for dating — it's too clean for push-style creative, and operators mistake their own angle mismatch for an audience verdict.
