A wrapper is a referee, not a player
A wrapper (like Prebid) is the code that organizes the auction. It doesn't buy ads. It invites the buyers, collects bids, enforces the timeout, and hands the winner to your ad server.
Why it matters: people blame "Prebid" for low pay, but the wrapper only runs the race. Who shows up and what they bid is your demand partners' job.
Tiny example: a slow auction usually means a bad timeout setting or a heavy partner, not a broken wrapper.
One thing to try: when revenue dips, check demand first (are partners bidding?), then the referee second.
In plain English: the wrapper runs the auction; it doesn't decide who wins or how much they pay.
