CHECKLIST: Build a reach baseline so you can spot changes early
You can't detect a throttle without a baseline. Set one up:
— Log impressions/follower ratio weekly, not raw impressions (followers grow; the ratio normalizes it)
— Track first-hour engagement rate separately — it's the leading indicator of distribution
— Note reply-surfacing: how often your replies appear logged-out on a fixed set of large accounts
— Record link-post reach vs native-post reach as a standing ratio
— Snapshot all four monthly so a drift is obvious within days, not months
Confirmed: distribution is best read as ratios over time, not single numbers. Rumored: any one viral post's meaning. A baseline turns 'I think reach is down' into a dated, defensible signal.
