"Managed WordPress" is mostly a markup
Myth: "Managed WordPress is worth triple the price because they handle everything."
Managed usually means: auto-updates you could schedule yourself, a caching plugin pre-installed, a staging button, and a ban-list of plugins they won't let you run. You pay $30/month for convenience worth maybe $8 in tooling.
Who benefits from the word "managed"? The host charging a premium for automation that costs them pennies to run at scale.
If you can click "update," you're already half the management.
Reality: you're not buying a sysadmin, you're renting a fancier dashboard.
