Promoting annual plans vs monthly plans
Everyone pushes "monthly is easier to sell." Easier to sell, worse to own.
Push monthly and your commission is exposed to churn every 30 days. Half your referrals can be gone by month four. Push annual and the customer is locked, the refund window is short relative to the term, and your commission survives the wobble.
The tradeoff:
— Monthly: lower commitment, higher conversion rate, savage churn against your recurring.
— Annual: harder sell, fewer conversions, but each one is worth roughly a full year locked in.
Vendors often pay the SAME percentage either way, which means annual is strictly better for you per conversion.
Verdict: chase annual signups even at a lower close rate. A churned monthly is a refund waiting to happen; an annual is money in the vault.
