Reporting source of truth: GA4 vs network dashboard vs your own sheet
Three numbers will disagree. Decide upfront which one you trust for which question.
— GA4: trust it for clicks and on-site behavior. It cannot see commissions — never report revenue from GA4.
— Network dashboard: the only source of truth for conversions and payout. It can't tell you which post drove the click unless your sub-ID is clean.
— Your own sheet/dashboard: the reconciliation layer. Pull clicks from GA4 + sales from the network, join on sub-ID, compute your real EPC.
Decision rule:
— If the question is "which content gets clicks" then GA4.
— If "how much did I earn" then network only.
— If "which content actually pays" then the joined sheet.
Weekly reconciliation checklist:
— Export clicks by sub-ID (GA4).
— Export conversions by sub-ID (network).
— Join, flag any sub-ID with clicks but zero recorded sales (tracking leak).
Definition of done: one EPC number per content piece you'd bet on.
