A: No, two different things are happening.
— Realtime is instant and unprocessed. Standard reports run on processed data that can take 24-48h to finalize, so 'today' is always incomplete.
— If it's still missing after 48h, you likely tripped an internal traffic or developer filter: Admin → Data Settings → Data Filters. A filter set to 'Active' that matches your IP will drop the event permanently.

During testing, keep filters on Testing, not Active, so you can see your own hits.

TL;DR: Reports lag 24-48h, and Active internal-traffic filters silently remove your test events.
