A 4-step check to catch scope creep before it starts
Scope creep = extra work that sneaks in after you've agreed a price, without extra pay. It rarely arrives as one big ask. It's small 'could you also' messages.
Run this check on every new request mid-deal:
— Is this written in the contract? If not, it's new.
— Does it take real time (a reshoot, a new edit)?
— Would I have charged for it upfront? Then charge now.
— Reply warmly but clearly: 'Happy to add that. It's a small extra of $X.'
Example: agreed on 1 video for $600, then they ask for a second cut for ads. That's a new deliverable, not a favor.
Your move: save that one-line reply so it's ready when you need it.
