The reason your photos never make the image pack

The reason your photos never make the image pack

Today's lesson: an image pack is that row of pictures Google drops into normal results, like a strip of photos pinned across the page.

Real example: search banana bread recipe and a line of golden loaves appears — click one and it sends traffic to that site.

The mistake: people upload photos named IMG_4821.jpg with no description. Google can't see what's in a picture the way you do, so it skips them.

The fix:
— Rename the file before uploading: chocolate-banana-bread.jpg, not a camera code.
— Fill in the alt text — the hidden description — with what's actually shown: A sliced loaf of banana bread on a wood board.
— Place the image near matching words on the page.

Think of alt text like a label on a museum painting. No label, no understanding.

Try this: open one post and check if its main image has real alt text. 🎓
