Why your sitelinks look messy

Why your sitelinks look messy

Today's lesson: sitelinks are those extra links Google adds under your homepage result, like little doors into your site.

Real example: search a big brand and you'll see About, Pricing, Contact stacked below it. Google picks these on its own — you can't type them in.

The common mistake: people stuff their main menu with 20 vague links like Page 1, Info, More. Google reads that menu to choose sitelinks, so it picks junk or shows none.

The fix:
— Keep your top navigation to 5-7 clear items.
— Name each one plainly: Pricing, not Plans & Options.
— Make sure each links to a real, useful page.

Think of your menu like a building directory. If every floor is labeled Stuff, the visitor (and Google) gives up.

Try this: open your own homepage menu and count the links. Over 8? Trim the weakest ones. 🎓
