Case study: turning a discount demand into more money
When a brand asks for a discount, you can reshape the deal instead of just dropping your price.
A creator quoted $1,000 for one video. The brand said: "Our budget is $800." The easy move is to cave and lose $200.
Instead she reframed it: "At $800 I'd do the video without usage rights. For the full $1,000 you get the video plus 60-day ad usage."
Now the brand saw what $200 actually bought. They wanted the ad rights, so they found the $1,000.
The lesson: don't just lower the price — lower the package to match. A discount should cost the brand something too.
Your move: when asked to go cheaper, remove something. Tie every dollar to a deliverable.
