A solo operator ran the obvious test: 30 lightly-edited AI posts in month one, 10 posts he actually wrote in month two.

The claim: more posts beats better posts.

Month one (30 AI posts): 41,000 total impressions, 0.9% engagement, 2 meaningful DMs. Reach per post collapsed as the feed learned the pattern.
Month two (10 human posts): 33,000 impressions from a third of the volume, 3.2% engagement, 8 DMs.

What's true: AI is fine for first drafts and outlines — credit where due. As the finished product, at volume, it averaged people into ignoring him.

The feed didn't penalise "AI." It penalised generic. Volume just multiplied the generic.
