We deleted 60% of a client's answers and traffic went UP.
Counterintuitive case that broke my own assumptions.
Client had 140 answers. Most were thin, off-topic, written years ago by a freelancer farming for volume.
We deleted or merged 84 of them and put all energy into the 56 that had any pulse.
Three months later: total profile traffic up ~35%.
Why? Quora and Google judge your profile partly on aggregate quality. A pile of weak answers was dragging the credibility of the good ones down and splitting attention.
Volume-farming on Quora is a tax you pay forever. Pruning is free leverage.
More answers is not more traffic. Sometimes it's the thing capping your ceiling.
