How one rename grew sitelinks from 2 to 6

How one rename grew sitelinks from 2 to 6

Today's lesson: a sitelink — those extra indented links under a main result — is something Google picks on its own. But you can nudge it.

Real example: a small software shop showed only 2 sitelinks (Pricing, Login). Their other pages had near-identical titles like "Features" and "Features Overview," so Google got confused and skipped them.

Here's what they did:
1. Gave each important page a clearly different title (Pricing, Tutorials, Support, Blog).
2. Linked all of them from the homepage menu, in plain words.
3. Waited about 5 weeks for Google to re-crawl.

Result: sitelinks jumped from 2 to 6, and homepage clicks rose 14% because the result took up more space in the shop window of search.

Try this: search your own brand name and count your sitelinks. If two of your pages sound the same, rename one. 🎓
