When Google answers so well nobody clicks
Today's lesson: a zero-click search happens when the results page answers the question completely, so the searcher never visits any website. Think weather, a quick definition, or "what time is it in Tokyo."
Think of it like asking a friend for the time. They tell you; you don't drive to a clock shop.
This isn't all bad for you. Play it smart:
1. For simple facts ("how many ounces in a cup"), don't expect traffic — these are answered on the page itself.
2. Chase questions where people need more: steps, opinions, comparisons, examples.
3. If your topic gets answered fully on the SERP, add depth a one-line answer can't give.
The trick is choosing battles Google can't finish on its own page.
Try this: search five quick questions in your niche. Mark which ones Google fully answers without a click. Aim your content elsewhere. 🎓
