SOP #58 — Rank Volatility Snapshot

Current rankings are a photo. You need the movie. Capture volatility before you commit.

1. Take a fresh rank snapshot of the top 20 money keywords on day one of diligence.
2. Re-check the same keywords at the end of the diligence window. Movement during a 3-week look is a live signal.
3. Cross-reference ranking dates against known algorithm-update dates. A drop aligned to an update is structural.
4. Check ranking pages: are top positions held by the same URL over time, or rotating (instability)?
5. Compare the site's positions to the SERP's strength. Outranking far bigger sites is a fragile, often temporary, position.
6. Note any keywords sitting at the top of page two — easy upside, but also proof the position isn't locked.

Rankings in motion mid-diligence are a price input, not a coincidence.
