Why do my emails land in Gmail's Promotions tab?
Gmail sorts mail into tabs like Primary and Promotions. The Promotions tab is not spam — it's a normal folder where people browse deals. But many beginners panic when they land there.
Gmail uses lots of links, images, and salesy design as hints that an email belongs in Promotions.
— Step 1: First, breathe. Promotions is a delivered email, not a failure.
— Step 2: ✅ To nudge toward Primary, send plainer, more personal emails sometimes: fewer images, a couple of links, written like one human to another.
— Step 3: Encourage subscribers to drag your welcome email to Primary; that teaches Gmail where you belong for them.
Why it matters: Primary placement gets more opens, but a thriving Promotions presence still works.
Homework: check which tab your last email landed in on your own Gmail.
