<b>The Cohort Entry Loop</b>
Onboarding people one at a time makes each newcomer feel alone. Batch arrivals into cohorts and they bond to each other, not just to you.
The SOP for cohort entry:
☐ Hold new joins in a queue, release weekly as a named group ("the June crew")
☐ Open with a shared intro thread — everyone answers the same 2 prompts
☐ Pair them: each newcomer gets one "buddy" from the prior cohort
☐ Give the cohort one small shared goal for week one
☐ Graduate them publicly into the main space after 7 days
The trigger is the weekly release, not the individual signup.
Why it works: members who make one peer connection in week one retain far better than those who only interact with staff. Peer bonds outlast your attention.
