The advice: negotiate the RevShare percentage up; that's the number that matters. The percentage is the loud term; the NGR definition is the silent one that moves more money.
Why, comparing ~12 contracts line by line:
— RevShare is a percentage of NGR — but NGR's definition varies wildly between operators.
— Aggressive definitions deduct: bonus cost, payment processing (~2-4%), affiliate fees, admin/license fees, even chargebacks and tax. Each deduction shrinks the base your percentage applies to.
— A 30% deal on "gross win minus bonus only" routinely out-pays a 40% deal that also strips processing + admin + fees — the loose definition shaves the base by 15-25% before your cut.
The correction: get the NGR formula in writing and total the deductions before you argue percentage. Ten points of RevShare is visible and emotional; a quietly bloated deduction stack is invisible and often costs you more.
▸ Ask specifically: are chargebacks and admin fees deducted? Those two are where the worst definitions hide.
Benchmark of the day: audit the NGR deduction stack first; a clean base at 30% beats a stripped base at 40%.
