Why your first sweeps offer should NOT be the newest one

New to sweeps? Beginners chase shiny new offers. Here's why that hurts you.

A brand-new offer has no track record. You can't see how it really performs, and you'll be testing it at the same time you're learning everything else. That's two hard jobs at once.

Instead, pick an evergreen offer. Evergreen means it has run for many months and keeps paying steadily — think a gift-card or grocery sweepstakes that's always available.

Three things to check before you pick:

— Age. Ask your manager how long it's been live. Six months or more is comforting.
— Cap. The cap is the daily limit of leads the advertiser will accept. A high or uncapped offer means you won't get shut off mid-test.
— Allowed traffic. Read which traffic types are permitted, so you don't break a rule by accident.

Worked example. Offer A launched yesterday, pays $2.50, no history. Offer B has run nine months, pays $1.90, with a stable EPC (earnings per click) you can actually see. As a beginner, B teaches you more and surprises you less.

The goal of your first offer isn't a jackpot. It's a clean, boring learning loop you can repeat.

Next step: ask your affiliate manager for one evergreen offer that has run at least six months.
