Myth: keeping deliverables loose keeps the client happy
Vague scope feels generous — "I'll figure out what works." It's the number-one cause of scope creep and resentment.
Deliverables = the exact list of what you're handing over (e.g. 1 Reel, 3 Stories, 1 photo).
Why it matters: "some content for the launch" has no end. The brand keeps asking; you keep giving.
Simple example: "social content, $700" becomes 1 Reel + 5 Stories + 2 posts + raw files. Pinning it to "1 Reel and 3 Stories" protects you and them.
Clear scope is kinder, not colder — everyone knows when it's done.
Your move: write deliverables as a numbered list with formats and counts, then anything beyond it is a new quote.
