Recipe, JobPosting and Course markup: three niche schemas that still earn their place

Niche markup earns its place when it matches a real page type. A recipe should be usable, a job page should describe one opening, and a course page should represent a genuine educational offering. Never add schema just because a template supports it.

Recipe: keep name, image, author, times, nutrition, ingredients, and instructions aligned with visible content. JobPosting: use a precise title, readable description, hiring organization, location or remote terms, employment type, datePosted, and validThrough when relevant. Remove closed roles promptly.

Course: identify the course name, provider, description, and dedicated course page. Do not combine unrelated lessons into one course. Across all three formats, use stable IDs, keep values consistent across templates, and test required fields before release.

Structured data is a maintenance contract, not a shortcut. Mark up only what users can verify on the page, review it when content changes, and treat warnings as cleanup tasks. That is how niche formats stay useful over time.
