Buying a $79 premium Webflow template usually costs more than starting from scratch.
The template looks perfect until you open it and find a stranger's class-naming chaos, nested symbols you're scared to touch, and interactions wired to elements you want to delete. Customizing someone else's structure you didn't design is slower than building your own clean one — you spend the savings reverse-engineering their decisions. Templates are great for learning and for sites you'll keep nearly as-is. As a foundation to heavily customize, they're inherited debt with a price tag.
