Myth: "follow for more" CTAs boost growth
I used to slap "follow for part 2" on everything. Tested 10 with the CTA, 10 without.
The CTA versions had WORSE completion — that text + voice ask in the last 2 seconds gave people a clean exit point. Reach dipped maybe 15%.
What grew follows better: making the last 1.5s loop seamlessly so they rewatch instead of leaving.
10-min fix: kill the verbal CTA on your next Reel. Let the loop do the work, move the follow ask to the pinned comment.
