"30 hashtags = more reach" — tested, it's a lie

Split 20 of my own Reels: half with 20-30 tags, half with zero.

Reach difference: basically noise. The zero-tag ones did slightly better, probably because the caption read cleaner. Hashtags on Reels are a search/topic signal now, not a reach lever.

Stop stuffing. Use 2-3 that actually describe the content so it gets categorized right.

Do today: strip your next Reel down to 3 real hashtags and watch the reach hold.
