Run this every morning before optimizing anything else.
<b>Stage 1 — Measure</b>
— ☐ Month-to-date spend pulled across all accounts (Owner: buyer)
— ☐ Compare to ideal pace: (monthly budget ÷ days) × days elapsed (Owner: buyer)
— ☐ Flag if more than 10% over or under pace (Owner: buyer)
<b>Stage 2 — Diagnose</b>
— ☐ Over pace: identify which campaign overspent and why (Owner: buyer)
— ☐ Under pace: find the bottleneck — caps, low delivery, paused sets (Owner: buyer)
<b>Stage 3 — Correct</b>
— ☐ Adjust caps to land on target by month end (Owner: buyer)
— ☐ Note any change in the pacing log with reason (Owner: buyer)
<b>Owner:</b> Media buyer
<b>Trigger:</b> Start of each day
<b>Done-when:</b> Spend is within 10% of ideal pace or a correction is logged.
Budget surprises at month-end are pacing failures from week one. Save this. Run it every time.
