How big should your audience be? Smaller than you think, but not tiny
New to LinkedIn Ads? You'll stack filters (industry, seniority, company size) and watch the audience number shrink. When do you stop?
The sweet spot for most campaigns is roughly 50,000 to 300,000 people. Below ~50k, LinkedIn struggles to deliver and your costs spike. Above a few hundred thousand, you're probably too broad and wasting budget on bad fits.
Beginners go to extremes: either 10 million (everyone) or 8,000 (nobody). Both deliver poorly.
Think of it like a faucet: too tight and nothing flows, too open and you flood the floor.
Next step: check the audience estimate panel as you add filters. Aim to land between 50k and 300k before you launch.
