The mistake most arbitrageurs make: they copy the offer angle from competitors or use whatever the advertiser suggests. Then they wonder why CAC stays high and conversion drops over time.
Real positioning starts with one question—who suffers from this problem most? Not "who needs this product," but whose life gets worse without it. A fitness app isn't for "people who want to get fit." It's for someone who tried 5 gyms, quit them all, and now feels embarrassed in public. That person has urgency. That person converts.
Your positioning should answer three things:
— Who exactly (not "everyone interested in X")
— What problem (specific pain, not a vague benefit)
— Why you over alternatives (one honest reason, not ten generic claims)
Copy this into every creative, every landing page headline, every targeting decision. When your positioning is clear, your audience narrows. But the narrow audience that *does* see it recognizes themselves immediately. They stop scrolling. They click because the message feels like it was written for them.
Blurry positioning kills margins. Tight positioning kills waste.
