Click conversions vs view-through conversions
New to reading your conversion report? LinkedIn counts two kinds, and beginners trust them equally by mistake.
A post-click conversion means someone clicked your ad, then converted. Clear cause and effect.
A view-through conversion means someone only saw your ad (never clicked), then converted later. LinkedIn still takes credit. Sometimes fair, often a stretch.
Think of post-click as a customer who walked in through your door, and view-through as someone who glanced at your window and showed up days later for unrelated reasons.
Why it matters: a campaign can look profitable purely on view-through credit it didn't really earn.
Next step: in your reporting columns, separate post-click from view-through so you judge each on its own.
