Testing social proof, lever by lever
'Add testimonials' is not a test. Social proof has parts and they move differently. Here's the order I attack it:
— Type: number-based ('12,000 users') vs face-based (photo testimonial). Test which your audience trusts.
— Specificity: named customer with title vs anonymous quote. Names win for B2B every time I've run it.
— Placement: right under the hero CTA vs lower down. Near the decision point usually wins.
— Quantity: one strong logo wall vs three scattered testimonials.
— Recency framing: 'joined this week' live counters vs static totals.
One lever per test. Logos and testimonials are different tests, don't blend.
Go move your strongest testimonial directly under your primary CTA. Test against current. Report back.
