<b>Disclosure compliance as a repeatable gate, not a hope</b>
FTC and platform disclosure isn't a vibe — it's a checklist you run before every post goes live. Build it into approval so non-compliant creative can't ship.
<b>The pre-publish disclosure gate (owner: reviewer):</b>
— Disclosure is in the first 2 lines / first 3 seconds, before "more"
— Clear language: "ad", "paid partnership", or "#ad" — not buried in a hashtag wall
— Platform tool enabled (paid partnership label / Branded Content toggle)
— Verbal callout in video within first 15 seconds
— Disclosure visible on every format: story, reel, pinned comment, bio link
<b>If X then Y:</b>
— If creator is in EU → check local rules (e.g. ASA in UK) on top of FTC
— If it's a story that disappears → screenshot for your compliance archive
<b>Definition of done:</b> reviewer ticks all five boxes and saves a dated screenshot to the compliance folder before approving the slot.
Rule: no disclosure = no approval, no exceptions for top creators. One enforcement letter costs more than every deal that quarter.
