Today's term: scope creep
Scope creep is when the work quietly grows after the price is set. Each ask sounds tiny — "one more story," "can you tweak the caption," "add a second link." Together they're a free second deliverable.
Why it matters: you priced one video. Now you're making three pieces for the same money, and your hourly rate just collapsed.
Example: deal is one reel for $700. By delivery they've added 2 stories and a usage extension. That's easily $400 of free work.
Your move: keep a friendly line ready. "Happy to add that — it's a small add-on, I'll send a quick updated quote." You're not difficult. You're just keeping the deal honest.
