Test your hook before you write the script, or you've built a house on sand.
The pre-script gauntlet:
— Say your hook to a friend who didn't ask. Do they say "wait, what?" or "okay"?
— Post it as a text-only line somewhere. Does anyone reply to argue?
— If neither, the script is doomed no matter how good the body is.
Most creators perfect the body and bolt on a hook last. That's backwards. The hook decides if anyone reaches the body at all.
