Build an interrupt map:
— Overlay your retention graph on your timeline.
— Place a B-roll, zoom, or sound change 2 seconds BEFORE each known dip, not on it.
— Leave your high-retention stretches completely untouched.
Interrupts work by being unpredictable. Drop one every 8 seconds and the brain learns the rhythm, then ignores it. You time them to the bleed, not the clock.
