The unanswered questions costing her bookings
Meet a hair salon owner in Miami losing customers to her own Q&A section. Strangers had asked "do you do balayage?" and "is there parking?" — and nobody had answered. The void looked like neglect.
That section is owner-controllable, and almost nobody uses it.
The Q&A playbook:
— Answer every existing question, even the awkward ones, within a day
— Seed your own FAQs: post the question from one account, answer from the business
— Write questions around keywords: "Do you offer keratin treatments in Brickell?"
— Upvote the best answers so they pin to the top
— Re-check weekly — anyone can post a new question or a wrong answer
We seeded ten questions. For two weeks, nothing in the rankings moved.
Then the turn: those keyword-rich Q&As started showing in her profile for service searches, and conversion climbed because people got answers before they ever called. Bookings up 24 percent.
The lesson: an empty Q&A section isn't neutral — it's a wall of unanswered doubt. Seed it, and it becomes a second keyword-rich FAQ Google can read.
