Adding a contact form, the beginner playbook

WordPress can't email visitors' messages to you on its own, you need a form plugin (an add-on) for that.

1. Go to Plugins, Add New, and search a well-known form plugin.
2. Install and Activate it (run the 5-check routine first if you like).
3. The plugin adds a new menu item. Open it and you'll usually find a ready-made contact form already built.
4. Copy the short code or block it gives you.
5. Create a page called "Contact," paste it in, and Publish.
6. Test it: fill the form on your live site and confirm the email actually reaches your inbox. Check spam too.

That last test is the step most beginners skip, then wonder why nobody contacts them.
