The Intro-Thread Conversion SOP
Most intro channels are graveyards: people post once, no one replies, they leave. Turn intros into activation:
☐ Give a 3-line template, not an open box: who you are / what you're working on / what you need
☐ Trigger: every new intro gets a human reply within 60 minutes (rotate a "greeter on duty")
☐ In that reply, connect them to ONE existing member or thread
☐ Ask exactly one follow-up question to force a second message
☐ React to the second message with a welcome emoji = social proof
☐ Weekly: tally intros that got a reply vs ghosted
The second message is the real conversion — one post is a tourist, two is a member.
