The Moderation Escalation Ladder
Vibes-based moderation burns out mods and looks arbitrary to members. Codify the ladder so any mod acts identically:
☐ Tier 0 — off-topic/minor: react with a fixed emoji, no comment
☐ Tier 1 — first real violation: public one-line reminder of the specific rule
☐ Tier 2 — repeat: private DM with the rule quoted + a logged note
☐ Tier 3 — third strike: 24h mute, logged with timestamp
☐ Tier 4 — bad-faith/spam: remove, log reason, no debate in-channel
Trigger to escalate is strike count, not mood. Keep a shared mod log (date / member / tier / who). Review weekly: if one member hits Tier 2 twice, they're a pattern, not an accident.
