Matched Audiences vs built-in targeting
New to LinkedIn targeting? There are two totally different sources, and mixing them up costs money.
Built-in targeting (job title, industry, company size) builds an audience from LinkedIn's data. Good for reaching people who've never heard of you.
Matched Audiences uses your data: a list of emails, your website visitors, or people from specific companies you upload. These folks already know you.
Think of built-in targeting as renting a mailing list, and Matched Audiences as writing to your own contacts.
Why it matters: warm Matched Audiences usually convert better, but they're small, so you can't scale on them alone.
Next step: upload one customer email list this week and save it as a Matched Audience to retarget later.
