"Ezoic's Leap fixes Core Web Vitals better than going direct"
Steelman: Leap does consolidate caching, lazy-load and CSS deferral into one panel, and for a site with no dev that's real value.
But the comparison people make is Leap-on vs nothing. Not Leap-on vs a properly configured cache plugin plus native lazy-load.
🚩 Hidden variable: Leap's own ad scripts are often the heaviest thing on the page. You're measuring a tool partly cleaning up the mess its own sibling product made.
When Leap "wins," check whether the baseline was an unoptimized site or a tuned one. Against tuned, the gap collapses to render-blocking ad calls — which Leap can't remove because that's the revenue.
Not saying Leap is bad — saying the before/after is measured against the wrong baseline.
