The mistake that makes Google ignore ALL your review schema
Failure: running two things that both emit review/rating structured data — your theme's review box AND a schema plugin (Rank Math, Yoast SEO Premium), or two plugins at once. They output conflicting Review / AggregateRating blocks on the same page. Google sees duplicate or contradictory ratings, decides it can't trust either, and shows no rich result. You have MORE schema and FEWER stars.
The fix:
— Pick exactly ONE source of truth for review/rating JSON-LD. Disable the rest
— In Rank Math/Yoast, turn off their review schema if the theme owns it (or vice versa)
— Validate the live URL in Rich Results test — if you see two Review objects, you have a conflict
— Consolidate everything under one @graph if you hand-roll it
Gotcha nobody mentions: page builders (Elementor) inject their own basic schema too, so you can have THREE sources without realizing — theme, SEO plugin, and builder. Check the raw rendered <script type="application/ld+json"> count.
Bottom line: more schema sources means fewer stars — pick one emitter and silence the others.
